Nominate an athlete for the I AM SPORT Community Award

Do you know a high school student-athlete who was a star beyond the box score? If so, we want to hear from you!

The North Jersey High School Sports Awards, presented by Holy Name Medical Center, are now receiving nominations for the I AM SPORT Award, which recognizes student-athletes who give back to their communities through volunteerism. The winner will be announced at the On-Demand Streaming Awards on June 30 on the event website. The show is free to watch.

Any athlete from a local school and sport is eligible to be nominated for the I AM SPORT award.

Maybe you noticed a local high school football player delivering meals to your neighborhood during the pandemic, or were greeted at your doorstep by a football player offering help with yard work. . Maybe you’ve been touched by a student-athlete offering virtual tutoring services, or noticed a group of athletes cleaning up the local park or beach. This is your chance to have a deserving student-athlete recognized for what they have accomplished in the community, and you can nominate any athlete here!

Applications can be submitted until March 9. The voting period begins March 10 at 11 a.m. and ends April 7.

If the student-athlete you wish to nominate is already displayed on the contest page, you do not need to nominate them again. Simply wait until voting time and show your support by voting for your favorite community star up to once a day.

The winner of the I AM SPORT award will be revealed during the North Jersey High School Sports Awards Show and a trophy will be mailed to the winner after the show.
