ALFRED, NY, September 21, 2022 – Alfred State sports management students will have the opportunity to be part of the 2022 Buffalo Bills season. Thirty students from the program have joined the guest service team and will serve as ticket takers and ushers at home games.

Assistant Professor of Sports Management Brandon Harrison is thrilled with the partnership. “I am extremely grateful for the relationship our program has developed with the Buffalo Bills. This opportunity provides our students with valuable work experience that will help prepare them to work in the sports industry upon graduation.

The students along with Harrison, assistant professor Tony Aquilina and campus recreation coordinator Brooke Scianna attended a pre-season training session and began their paid opportunity in the home opener against the Titans of Tennessee.

“In reports of the home opening, various students were able to think critically and effectively to solve problems to provide top-notch customer service. The evening was amazing in every sense of the word, topped off with the fantastic game on the pitch.

Aquilina added, “Buffalo Bills’ Customer Relations team has been exceptional throughout this process, and we look forward to continuing to expand this opportunity in the years to come to more students on campus, and ultimately leading to internships and entry-level experiences for our students.

Alfred State offers both associate and bachelor’s degrees in sports management.
